Scholarship Description:

Massey University is seeking candidates who are registering for the research part of a Massey University master’s program. The scholarship is available to both domestic and international students. Specifically, this scholarship is intended for those who have completed the coursework portion of their master’s degree and are moving on to the research phase. There are three types of scholarships available: Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship, Massey University Māori Master’s Research Scholarship, and Massey University Pacific Master’s Research Scholarship..

Scholarship Benefits:

This scholarship offers partial funding up to $15,000.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to international and domestic students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • To be eligible for the Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship, you need to enroll in a 90 credit or more research component of a master’s degree on a full-time or part-time basis, and the start date of your program should align with the scholarship’s closing date according to the scholarship regulations.
  • The scholarship has two selection rounds each year, which close at the beginning of semester 1 and the beginning of semester 2.

Application Procedure:

  • The application should include a statement from the primary supervisor commenting on the applicant’s quality and capability as a researcher.
  • The statement should be limited to one page.
  • A research proposal must also be included, highlighting the relevance and alignment of the applicant’s research with the university and college strategy.
  • The research proposal should be a maximum of one page.
  • Applicants are advised to consult with their supervisor for guidance on the university and college strategies.
